Squadron & DonDisko kick-off 2010 with another banger!

Squadron & DonDisko kick-off their amazing 2010 agenda on the 13th of March 2010, presenting a Lektroluv Records Night for the first time in Malta. The night will feature none other than the amazing Belgian duo Sound Of Stereo together with International heavyweight Dr.Lektroluv.

Until a while ago “Sound” and “Stereo” were just two words that popped up every once in a while in your hifi-installation’s manual. In the beginning of 2008 those two words stopped being just random: “Sound Of Stereo” saw the light of day. In only a few months time their tracks conquered clubs all over the world. The Belgian scene responded really well to their presence and they were noticed rather fast by the famous Lektroluv label. In November of 2008, their first EP came out and had massive response. One of the singles on that EP “Supah Dupah”, is said to be played over 100 times each weekend in Belgium alone. A follow-up EP was nothing more than a logic continuation of this success. The follow-up single ” Heads Up! ” was an instant success, played by the likes of MSTRKRFT, Crookers, Armand Van Helden, The Bloody Beetroots, Dr.Lektroluv and many more. In the meantime Sound of Stereo have been very busy traveling all over the globe while playing at all major Festivals which include I Love Techno, Pukkelpop Festival, Dour festival, Tomorrowland, 10 Days off and so on. The new “Zipper EP” has just been release and is already supported by Tiga, Brodinski, Steve Aoki, Jack Beats, Djedjotronic, Riva Starr, MSTRKRFT and so on. Speaking of Steve Aoki, Sound of Stereo has a release coming up on Aoki’s Dim Mak label, “Chewbox” which will be out in the beginning of 2010! There’s only one thing left to say: Get your rocks off, your heads up and enjoy the Sound Of Stereo!

In 2009 we have witnessed some of the biggest acts in the electronic scene, incredible energy and some of the most memorable nights for years. Squadron’s ‘A Night With’ series has provided Malta’s clubbers with more heavyweight artists, ensuring the best quality clubbing experiences they have come to expect from the Squadron camp. But… something was missing, and in 2010 Squadron will be literally exploding and backflipping into the new decade with the return of the most anticipated and talked about event around.

Both previous historical editions in 2007 & 2008, have established Squadron Festival as a creative monster in the Maltese clubbing scene, attracting enormous crowds to see such legendary acts as Juan Atkins, DJ Rolando, Dr.Lektroluv, Bangkok Impact, Marshall Jefferson, Legowelt & Spacid.

Squadron Festival 2010 will be even better than ever, with a new mouthwatering collaboration between Squadron and DonDisko, we’ll be delivering the very best in Nu-Rave, Fidget House, Electro, Techno and House music. But that’s not all, add to that an incredible production experience of creative visuals and decor. The wait is over!

Finally, the wait is soon over! This mighty Les Petits Pilous from Boys Noize Records will be leaving their mark this Saturday at Tattingers club!
See you on the dance-floor!

D.I.M is popularly known for his hits, namely ‘Is You’, ‘Airbus’ and ‘Sysiphos’. All the top electro artists fell in love with the D.I.M sound and his records are virtually in all the top electro artists playlist; from Sven Vath, Erol Alkan. Dr Lektroluv, Boys Noize down to Justice. The track ‘Is You’ remains D.I.M most successful track to date and remains a club favorite. His latest release ‘Lyposuct’ seems to be following the same success and has been pumping in all this summer’s big festivals.  Having remixed The Presets, Chromeo, Fisherspooner, Midnight Juggernauts, Teenage Bad Girl and The Faint, D.I.M. is one of the most in demand remix artists on the planet.

 

D.I.M also released tracks with his partner BoysNoize as PUZIQUe. It was in fact D.I.M that introduced BoysNoize into music production. D.I.M would later sign up to the successful BoysNoize Records Label after having released tracks on Tiga’s Turbo Records.
